The NCAA Football 12 development team made game-play improvement a top priority this year. One new feature is improved zone defense. One common problem year to year is that defenders had no thoughts of their own. If they were in a zone they ran into the zone area and that’s it. For example, if the offense ran a bootleg left and had all the receivers running routes to the left, if there was a defender in zone protection on the right, he’d stay put.
